In this course, you will learn everything you need to brew delicious, gut-healthy probiotic kombucha at home, and get better results (for a lot less money!) than store-bought stuff.
This class will cover how to make kombucha safely at home, including secondary flavoring and carbonation.

Class Times are:

  • 5:00pm to 7:30 Pacific Daylight Time

  • 8:00pm-10:30pm Eastern Daylight Time

  • 10:00am-12:30pm AEST (Fri 21-Aug)

  • 12:00pm-2:30pm NZST (Fri 21-Aug)

What We’ll Do

Join Austin Durant, founder and Chief Fermentation Officer of Fermenters Club as he takes you into the wild and wide world of fermentation!

  • LEARN: We’ll explain fermentation and have a brief discussion about the benefits of making and eating fermenting foods
  • DEMO: We’ll show you how to brew your own non-alcoholic kombucha at home, both the “primary” fermentation and “secondary” bottling and flavoring.
  • DO IT TOGETHER: Roll up your sleeves and follow along as we go through making the primary fermentation of kombucha together step by step

How it Works

  • Select your class option and purchase your spot for the class. We will ship you the kit/SCOBY prior to the workshop date (please order at least 3 business days before the workshop).
  • Download the Ingredients and Equipment List (sent upon purchase) and have materials ready before the class begins.
  • We will send you a Google Meet invitation upon registration. Download the Google Meet app before the workshop. Be sure you set up where the instructor can see what you’re making.
  • Class will be taught live, with Q&A and instructor inspecting everyone’s jar at the end.
  • Maximum size class is 10 students

About the Instructor

Austin Durant, Founder and Chief Fermentation Officer, Fermenters Club

Austin has been playing with his food his whole life, and fermenting it for over ten years.

He has taught over 100 classes (online courses and hands-on workshops) on fermented food traditions such as sauerkraut, pickles, kimchi, kombucha, miso, as well as seasonal specialties. He writes and shares recipes, videos and other fermentation adventures on his blog.
